Herzogenaurach, December 8, 2022 – To mark the release of its initial virtual wearable collection, this December, adidas Originals hosted (probably) Real – an inclusive, invite-only event which redefined our relationship with physical and virtual space in Miami.
Via the use of immersive screens and AR tech, the product-led experience took hundreds of visitors on a journey through the world of Adidas Web 3 – from its inception in 2021 to the launch of the brand’s initial NFT wearable collection, “Virtual Gear”.
The event, took place at the Rudolph Budja Gallery, was divided into three distinct experimental areas. Upon arrival, guests are led into the first room, which contains a 360-degree display of the brand’s ‘Virtual Gear’ brought to life on a range of virtual avatars.
Providing a preview of Adidas’ Virtual Gear in motion, as discovering the future of fashion presentation via impossible visions, the space sets the scene for the potential use of digital wearables as a new product category for adidas.
Thereafter, visitors move between virtual and real spaces upon entering “Indigo’s Lab”. The adidas Bored Ape NFT, Indigo Herz, known as the creative powerhouse leading adidas’ journey into the Metaverse’, opens up their lab to attendees with a series of impossible sketchers and real-time builds for a collection of the “Virtual Gear – Genesis Collection”.
Passing through the metaverse, the final space—(probably) A Dressing Room’—invites guests to try on the Virtual Gear collection in real time via a DressX interactive AR Mirror.
Lastly, the event ended with a live performance from 2022 Grammy nominee, Pusha-T.

Open from 4-10pm on December 3rd, (probably) Real was an invitation only event with a limited number of tickets being allocated through Tokenproof to ITM holders, BAYC and MAYC holders, AdmitOne holders, and Punks Comic and Founders Dao holders.
