Bacardi And Grammy Collaborates to Bring An NFT of Music

Bacardi is cooperating with award-winning producer GRAMMY Boi-1da to release the third installment of Music Liberates Music with NFT support. The spirits company designed the program to support underrepresented voices in the music industry. In the current year, the partners want to address the situation, in which only 2% of music producers are women.

Bacardi conducted studio sessions with Bambi, Denise Di’on and PERFXN in Los Angeles. The aim is to work one-on- one with Boi-1da to finalize three new and energetic Caribbean-inspired songs, which will be released on October 13, as NFTs.

Originally, these three songs will be auctioned off as limited-edition songs on the newly launched NFT marketplace, STURDY.EXCHANGE.

There is currently a long list of NFT-themed music collections in the world from artists such as Kings of Leon, Shawn Mendes and also Katy Perry. What sets this Drop apart is that, for the first time, the proceeds go to the artist and “fanvestors” who invest in the producers’ work. Each NFT consists of a percentage of the streaming franchise as part of the Fanvestor App Kit. So both the artist and their fans can make money as more people stream music.
