Ballet NFT series from Russian ballerina Natalia Osipova is a world first

Natalia Osipova is one of the most well-known ballet stars and the first to create ballet NFT. Lately, Natalia revealed that she is taking her first steps into the world of cryptocurrency by creating her own NFTs to finance her dance company. In December, the Bonham auction house will auction her ballet-inspired NFTs.

Natalia’s ballet NFTs will introduce three special dance performances in video format. Two of the performances will be from Giselle classic ballet. Another is from A Left behind, that she performed with her boyfriend Jason Kittelberger in Mexico.

Natalia’s NFT dreams stemmed from her wish to communicate more with her fans online because of the influence of the Covid-19 on her working life. Osipova and her boyfriend saw an opportunity in the lucrative nature of NFTs to finance their dance company, that they desire to offset from the profits they get.

The couple has partnered with the world-renowned auction house Bonhams to help sell the NFTs. The bidding is expected to begin on December 10. The series will be named Natalia Osipova.

The Gisele NFT sells between £8,000 to £10,000 while the Left back sells for about £30,000 to £50,000. To help increase the sales, Bonhams will sell the NFTs along with other ballet memorabilia like paintings and costume designs.
