BAYC hit half a million Twitter followers and an 83 ETH floor

The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT project has reached a new milestone. BAYC has more than half a million followers on Twitter. In addition, its floor price on OpenSea has reached new record of 83 ETH. For the unfamiliar, floor price indicates the lowest price you can buy an NFT from a certain series.
These gains came just weeks after BAYC hit a record of 70 ETH, overturning CryptoPunks. The series, released early the previous year, features 10,000 Bored Apes. Today, it is one of the hottest NFT projects in the NFT market, with some Apes selling for millions of dollars. So much so that even a fan sold his Lamborghini few days ago to purchase a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT. Additionally, this year’s Super Bowl Halftime show may feature the BAYC.
Previously the current year, the Bored Ape Yacht Club got significant success, surpassing total sales of $1 billion. At the time of writing, OpenSea had a total trading volume of 326,000 ETH, or around $1.06 billion. As stated by DappRadar data, the series presently has a market value of $2.72 billion. In addition, a single Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT costs you an average of $300,000.

One of the main reasons for the extraordinary success of this series is the approval of celebrities. Many celebrities from various industries have stepped into BAYC. Take Eminem, for instance, who sent Twitter wild after his last purchase of Bored Ape. He purchased BAYC #9055 for $462,000. In addition, the singer will apparently dedicate a song to the BAYC community on his new album.

Snoop Dogg, is another celebrity who has gone “all the way” with BAYC. Mainly, the American rapper has a complete set of Bored Ape with pink fur. That is to say, he owns a Bored Ape, an M1 and an M2 Mutant, and with them the Bored Ape Kennel NFT.
