BCware is launching NFT app in the Shopify app store

More merchants are adding NFTs to their online stores, but sales are often hampered by technology interoperability issues and the limitation of consumers’ preferred payment options. Currently, with the new multichain BCware NFT app available in the Shopify App Store, eligible Shopify Plus merchants participating in the NFT Beta program have unprecedented flexibility to bundle NFTs with real-world products, allowing consumers to pay with crypto or credit cards of choice.

According to a report by IntotheBlock, in the first half of 2022 alone, the volume of no-chain activity from NFTs has grown by more than 200 percent and reached over $62 billion. However, most applications still require merchants to create a new wallet exclusive to the NFT minting chain. With few resources to add support for multiple blockchains, these brands risk customer frustration and shopping carts abandonment.

Instead, the BCware NFT application is powered by BCware’s exclusive blockchain-agnostic multi-chain platform. It offers full and transparent support for buying and selling NFTs minted across countless the major blockchains. As BCware allows merchants to choose the minting tools and blockchains which meet their needs, merchants have a future-proof solution to make smart minting decisions considering mark access, minting fees, and purchaser experience.

“Whether purchasing NFT artwork or a limited-edition brand NFT, customers aim to choose their preferred payment method,” stated Tugrul Firatli, founder and CEO of BCware. “Currently with our multichain BCware NFT app on the Shopify App Store, merchants can create the flexible shopping experience consumers which consumers demand by using their choice of crypto wallets and chains rather than imposing technology on them.”

Selling and purchasing NFT via the NFT Beta program on Shopify is easy with the BCware NFT app:

• Qualified merchants can create their content using familiar tools, then upload the work to their Shopify storefront with BCware, that creates an NFT product page.
• Eligible merchants can choose the chains which make sense for their community and accept payment through cryptocurrency or fiat (credit cards).
• Purchasers need a crypto wallet to get their newly minted NFTs, and BCware offers a perfect experience for purchasers new to crypto by managing wallet setup.

• NFTs can be sold with real-world products, allowing qualified merchants to provide creative packages, increase cart value, and build brand loyalty which blends real and virtual worlds.

“We are excited to welcome the BCware NFT app to the Shopify App Store to help merchants create innovative business experiences,” said John S. Lee, Lead of Blockchain Ecosystem at Shopify. “Our growing blockchain ecosystem shows our commitment to supporting merchants as they sell NFTs directly via their storefronts, helping to further grow participation in Web3 and extend what is possible in commerce.”
