Be cautious of NFT scams in OpenSea!

Be cautious of NFT scams in OpenSea!

There are certain significant scams to be aware of if you are new to NFTs and have just joined the OpenSea market.

What is an Airdrop?

The distribution of NFTs or cryptocurrencies to particular wallet addresses is known as AirDrop. In the case of OpenSea, AirDrop is often dumped straight into your wallet address, which is generated on the Ethereum network through any WebC-compatible wallet, such as Metamask.

Although these airdrops seem to be legal, bear in mind that the majority of them are scams. Do not communicate with anybody who sends you an AirDrop to your account! If you attempt to sell these airdrops, you will be confronted with an NFT contract that will get access to your wallet and allow them to empty your cash.

Here’s how to see whether you’ve received an AirDrop:

  1. Browse to OpenSea.io
  2. Sign in and go to your “Profile.”
  3. Click on the ‘Hidden’ section.

Remember to leave unfamiliar airdrops alone and not engage with them.
