On OpenSea, the world’s first and largest web3 marketplace for NFTs and crypto jewels, the CryptoPunk 4464 NFT just sold for 2,500 ETH. CryptoPunks is a collection of generative art and the first NFT-based digital art system. There are only about 10,000 Punks left in the world, and some of them are being hunted until they die out.

CryptoPunk 4464 is one of the rarest and most expensive Ape punks. Its features, like the cigarette, knit hat, and helmet, are what make CryptoPunks so valuable. It was sold for 2,500 ETH, which at the time of the sale was equal to $2,615,224.91 USD. Other Punk species, like Zombies and Aliens, are very rare and cost a lot.

The price of ether (ETH), which is used to value many NFTs, has dropped a lot this year. This is something that can’t be argued with. The sales were told about by the CryptoPunks bot on Twitter.

Stats from CryptoPunks show that three more Punk NFTs were sold for a total of 265.17 ETH. Male Punks 7461, 5686, and 3963 were sold for a total of $2,77,402 (94.29 ETH, 82 ETH, and 88.88 ETH, respectively).

Cryptopunks, the ultimate rookie card, has become more popular in 2021. Many celebrities are proud to show their punk ownership on Twitter. Sales of cryptopunk are a leading indicator for the rest of the NFT market. They show that some people are willing to pay money for blockchain-based art.
