David Cronenberg is selling his kidney stones as an NFT

In David Cronenberg’s movies, the organs of the body normally discover their means out. Don’t you realize that the director’s recent investment in crypto-art is about that?

Currently, Cronenberg shows a picture of his kidney stones that lately have established themselves as a unique NFT. Available on the SuperRare platform, the starting price for the drawings is 10 ETH, or about $30,000. If someone bids at this amount or more, they will start a 24-hour public sale for the last token. Cronenberg even thinks of throwing accurate stones.

In one of his current posts on a web-based chat page for Cronenberg-heads, the filmmaker behind science fiction films such as Videodrome and The Fly described how he got here to collect mineral resources through his own person during the last 2 years, as objects with creative potential.

“You know, I want to take a kidney stone, so we can do a chemical evaluation and see if there’s anything in your diet that is causing your condition,” he says in the submit, based on the Related French Press. The director, anyway, refused because of the way that he might have ruined them.

“I believe they are too dazzling to be destroyed,” he said. Despite everything, it is relatively intimate, it comes from the within of my body.

The title of the NFT, Internal Magnificence, refers to his 1988 movie ‘Useless Ringers’ about identical twin documents, each by a gynecologist.

It’s no surprise that the filmmaker has an aesthetic curiosity about his deposits: barbed & bulbous, like pieces of corals or half-chewed nuts, they look like Cronenbergian creations.

“In these kidney stones, I see a brilliant narrative created by the vibration of my internal organs, a story as much as one might think,” he wrote in a claim with the NFT. “I believe that each stone offers a unique beauty of structure, shade, and natural content material which engages with the excitement of my essence, my reality, that is my body, inside and out.
