Elon Musk announced he will step down as Twitter CEO

In charge of Twitter’s products, software, and system operations, the soon-to-be-former CEO will become executive chair and chief technology officer.

In approximately six weeks, Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, will transition from CEO to executive chair and chief technology officer of the social networking site.

Musk announced via tweet on 11 May that he had appointed a new CEO for X Corp., the company that owns Twitter. Musk is expected to be replaced by this new CEO in late June or early July. In October 2022, Musk acquired the social media site for $44 billion and assumed the role of CEO. The unidentified individual will succeed Musk.

The soon-to-be-former CEO stated that he will become executive chair and chief technology officer of Twitter. He will be responsible for the operations of products, software, and systems. When Musk became CEO, he dismissed the previous CEO, Parag Agrawal.
