Farokh, the founder of Rug Radio, discussed the future plans for his project and the key to its success thus far. Rug Radio is a decentralized media platform that features over 30 shows and 50 creators, with a team of around 15-20 people.
When asked about the plan for Rug Radio in the upcoming year, Farokh stated that the focus is on growth while maintaining the same ethos. He explained that last year was about building the base, while this year is about filling in the infrastructure to prepare for the next few years.
“The plan is to keep growing but keep growing with the same ethos.” Farokh told NFT News Pro.
NFT News Pro asked Farokh about the initial inspiration behind the project and what led him to become involved in NFTs. “When NFTs came about, it just snapped, next day I quit everything.” Farokh told NFT News Pro.
Farokh stated that he has been building a community for 10 years and has been in media for over 10 years, so he understood the principles of creators not getting paid and consumers not getting anything. When NFTs came about, he immediately got it and bought his first NFT in February 2012, leaving everything he was doing for this new technology.
Farokh explained that he wants to connect the best creators with consumers and believes that NFTs and the underlying technology are the most incredible things ever to come to the market. He sees the power of NFTs as a way to empower creators and avoid making the same mistakes that were made in the past.
When asked about the future of NFTs, Farokh stated that the bear market does not worry him because there has been so much adoption even during this period of maturity. He pointed out that big brands like Nike and Starbucks have adopted NFTs, and some projects are continuing to build despite the current market conditions.
Overall, Farokh’s vision for Rug Radio is to continue to grow while maintaining the same ethos of empowering creators and connecting them with consumers. He sees NFTs as the future of the market and wants to build a bridge between Web2 and Web3 to help bring this technology to the masses.
