Mark Zuckerberg, the Metaverse’s founder, has revealed a slew of daring AI projects, calling AI “the key to unlocking the Metaverse.”
He utilized the AI function Builder Bot to create a basic virtual setting complete with an island, trees, and a beach in a live-streamed presentation.
Mr. Zuckerberg also revealed ambitions to create a worldwide speech translator.
“It’s always been a goal of mine to be able to communicate with anybody in any language,” he stated.
Mr. Zuckerberg said Builder Bot was created as part of Meta’s CAIRaoke project, which intended to improve AI helpers by allowing “AI to experience the environment via human eyes” when users entered virtual reality using headsets or glasses.
He promised that the artificial intelligence systems that run Meta’s virtual worlds will respect consumers’ privacy and be transparent and responsible.
Facebook has been investing in artificial intelligence for 10 years, and its director of AI, Yann LeCun, is one of the greatest in the world.
