BAKEUP by Jo Baker is a new digital beauty brand that features the potential of makeup to show one’s individuality. The brand is the result of the artistic visions of two artists, one from the world of beauty, Joe Baker, and the other from music, Grace Gaustad. Both are generating digital makeup which can be worn, collected, traded and sold in the metaverse.
What is BAKEUP?
BAKEUP is the initial digital brand which pushes the limits of self-expression and beauty. Its perception is to offer a new perspective to beauty, designed to exist in many realities. Its initial limited-edition product, the Disco Veil eye embellishment, is beginning to announce as an NFT, a wearable Augmented Reality filter on Snapchat and Instagram, plus a physical product.
BAKEUP has joined forces with DAZ 3D, creators of the (NFP) NFT series. They will generate digital makeup looks which redefines the meaning of makeup. DAZ 3D has now made a name for itself following creating NFTs for big brands such as Coca-Cola and Warner Bros. So, this partnership is sure to continue to push the BAKEUP brand ahead, coming on the heels of Grace Gaustad’s second album PILLBX.
About the Grace Gaustad and Jo Baker partnership
More than merely a musical artist, Grace Gaustad uses makeup as a way of self-expression. After giving makeup artist Jo Baker a lookbook of makeup ideas inspired by her own music, Grace Gaustad cooperated with Jo to bring her vision to life. As a result of this creative partnership, the two embarked on a storytelling journey, designed by makeup and music. Jo Baker and Grace Gaustad will release the fruit of their partnership this Fall.
