This collaboration brings great things for the industry because RECUR is supported by investors such as Gary Vaynerchuk, Jason Derulo, and Joe Lubin, co-founder of ETH and others. The startup, guided by billionaire Steve Cohen, raised $50 million in September.

“To discover this new and novel business is an important challenge for us,” Silvia Figini, chief executive for the EMEA, India and Oceania Sanrio, stated in a press release. “For Sanrio, entering the NFT world adds a new way to a part of contemporary culture and a new way for our fans to enjoy our brand.”

Currently, the brand has announced short information about the future Hello Kitty’s NFTs. Nevertheless, RECUR mentioned that it will make a “custom experience” for fans of the character. In addition, fans can purchase, collect and sell Hello Kitty NFTs as digital collectibles on the platform.
