Many NFT investors are confused by the Rugpull Evolved Apes created by its creator. The developer stole more than $2.7 million worth of ETH, leaving the NFT project community wordless.
Evolved Apes is an NFT collection that contains 10,000 avatar-style NFT. Though these collections were new on the market, many collectibles were very successful. Actually, the first drop sold out in 10 minutes, growing up the floor price steadily.
Evolved Apes also brought together a strong community of investors and collectors. Everything was going ideal for this project – until its creator, dubbed Evil Ape, stole everything.
More accurately, the developer of Evolved Apes escaped directly from the project’s coffers by stealing 798 ETH. The funds, valued at about $2.9 million, came from minting, like ETH traded from OpenSea secondary sales.
In addition, Evil Ape also deleted the official website and Twitter account of Evolved Apes.
