In November, Doodles CEO Julian Holguin said of the company’s recently recruited Chief Brand Officer, “[Williams is] not just an endorser of the company—he’s a day-to-day influence on the brand and very involved in a lot of the biggest decisions that we’re making.”

Pharrell Williams is a well-known music producer and popular figure in Hollywood. He has elevated his worth to businesses like Doodles by utilizing his numerous skills to appeal to a broad audience and his practical knowledge of current popular culture.

He only has 14.3 million followers on Instagram, which is a significant increase over the heads of high-end fashion firms like Donatella Versace (9.8 million followers), Olivier Rousteing, the creative director of Balmain (9 million followers), and Jacquemus (7 million followers) (5.3 million followers).

Williams has recently been hired once more, this time to serve as the brand’s new creative director and oversee the complete menswear collection. He is the first Black American to be appointed head designer of a European premium fashion business, according to the Wall Street Journal.

After working with them in 2004 and 2008, the French fashion label announced on February 14 that the 13-time Grammy winner would be “coming home” to help them “ahead of a new and very exciting phase.”

Williams announced that he will be working with Tiffany’s on a piece of jewelry in the future while hinting a future collaboration by donning diamond-encrusted spectacles.

He will debut his Louis Vuitton line in June during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris.

Another concern remains in light of Louis Vuitton’s latest announcement: may there be a future Doodles partnership or integration of the esteemed NFT project within the LV menswear line?

Williams was appointed by Doodles as its new Chief Brand Officer during NFT.NYC 2022. Williams would additionally collaborate with Columbia Records to create the NFT-inspired album Doodles Records: Volume 1.

Last month, Doodles unveiled its Doodles 2 product line and disclosed a partnership with the Golden Wolf animation studio to assist the Doodles brand break into the mainstream entertainment industry through new kinds of content.

According to Quartz, Benjamin Simmenauer, a Paris-based fashion scholar, Williams’ new position with LV alters the traditional model of the “creative director,” who is now more focused on “image” than “couturier.”
