A new way to get into Coachella is through non-fungible tokens. On Tuesday, the first set of collectible NFTs was announced. It includes 10 lifetime passes to Coachella in the form of a digital “Coachella Key. The auction starts on Friday, Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. PST and ends on Friday, Feb. 11 at 5 p.m. PST. It can be found on nft.coachella.com and FTX website

People who buy one of the “Coachella Keys Collection” NFTS for 2022 will get lifetime access to the festival and VIP on-site experiences that include front row seats at the Coachella Stage, access to a tent, or a celebrity chef dinner.

Sam Schoonover, the innovation lead for Coachella said that they’ve all seen how NFTs make it possible to own art and media on the web. It was their goal to go one step further and use NFTs to let people own experiences in the real world, too, so they did that.

He also added This is a first for Coachella. Only blockchain technology can give them the ability to sell lifetime passes to Coachella for the first time ever. Using NFTs, they can build new things for their fans and build a new community for people. FTX is the partner they can trust to help to build the infrastructure and support they need to make this happen.

This year’s Coachella will be headlined by Kanye West, Billie Eilish and Harry Styles.
