Jam City has launched a 24-hour private auction for a limited number of 10,000 Prime Eternals NFTs that will be open to the whitelist only.
A private auction will begin on February 24 at 08:00 PT (16:00 UTC), followed by a public sale 24 hours later on February 25. Members of the whitelist will be able to purchase NFTs for 0.3 ETH (about $812), while the public NFT sale will begin at 1 ETH (approximately $2,710).
The 10,000 “high-fidelity” NFTs in Massina, the fantasy world setting for Champions: Ascension, serve as a “founder’s pack” and will never be minted again. Prime Eternals owners will be able to collect and create “unique” NFT Champions, as well as compete against other players for tokens that may be used to aid in the development of their Champions.
The firm stated its ambition to join the blockchain and near-field communication (NFT) industries in December 2021, with Champions: Ascension serving as its entry point.
Chris DeWolfe, co-founder, and CEO of Jam City said: “This is one of the most meaningful projects I’ve been involved with,” said Jam City co-founder and CEO Chris DeWolfe.
“The art and design of this game have been created by some of the most talented in the world. It’s a very ambitious project, as we’re one of the first major gaming companies to build a deep, rich, entertaining blockchain experience. The initial NFT drop is just a taste of the fun that we hope to deliver in this Champions Metaverse.”
The sales will take place on the Champions: Ascension website.
In other NFT news, Animoca Brands just acquired mobile game developer Grease Monkey Games, and the business will now focus on producing NFTs, play-to-earn, and blockchain games.
