Keanu Reeves, one of Hollywood’s biggest and most popular stars, has downplayed the metaverse and made fun of the NFTs concept in a video posted on Twitter and YouTube.
As part of an interview with the Verge, Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Ann Moss dealt with the Matrix interactive experience that is being announced as a part of the new Matrix movie.
When the concepts of NFTs and the metaverse were introduced, Keanu Reeves and his teammate started laughing.
He commented:” The content is simply replicated.”
“The Matrix” actor also agreed that he could meet a friend around the world in a metaverse casino to be attractive, despite his public opinion about metaverse and NFTs.
His ideas changed when he humorously asked if he and Moss had a cut of the incomes.
Despite this, Reeves is not unfamiliar with blockchain and crypto technologies. He stated that he owns some digital currency which a friend purchased him, but keeps for a long time. He has no plans to sell or trade actively yet.
