Since many months ago, people have known that Spain’s top soccer league, LaLiga, will do the same. Together with Dapper Labs, the NBA, NFL, UFC, and other sports and entertainment properties launched an NFT platform. LaLiga Golazos, the next game after NBA Top Shot, NFL All Day, and UFC Strike, will come out for the first time on October 27. This information was shared by the two businesses on Thursday.
Fans can sign up at the new website for the first pack, which is currently in closed beta and includes some of LaLiga’s fiercest rivalries, such as the legendary El Clasico between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, the cross-town Madrid derby between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, El Gran Derbi between Real Betis and Sevilla, and the Basque derby between Real Sociedad and Athletic Club. The series will have all of the great games, assists, saves, and, of course, the legendary golazos. Since the 2005–2006 season, LaLiga’s best players from all of its teams have been shown on NFTs. The most important plays of the season are also shown in highlights.
Scar Mayo, who is the executive director of LaLiga, said, “LaLiga is full of history, tradition, and legendary moments, and our fans are some of the most passionate in the world.”
“We’re excited to give them a new way to enjoy the things they love,” the company said. The company says, “With our partner Dapper Labs, we can give our fans the chance to really be a part of this fanatical experience.” We are always coming up with new ways for fans to connect with LaLiga, its clubs, and its players.
Ansu Fati, a star forward for FC Barcelona, Marc-André ter Stegen, Real Madrid legend Luka Modric, and Atletico Madrid goal-scoring machine Joo Félix will be the faces of LaLiga’s NFT launch during its first season. They’ll get their own Moments later this season and be featured in marketing materials, which will introduce people to the community of the platform. As Dapper Labs’ first bilingual product, each NFT will have both the broadcast replay of the Moment and the original play-by-play and statistics from that game in both Spanish and English.
Jorge Urrutia del Pozo, general manager of LaLiga Golazos at Dapper Labs, says, “Golazos will let fans own a piece of LaLiga history and join a whole new kind of football community that rewards them for being fans.”
It is based on the Flow blockchain, like all other Dapper NFT collectible platforms. It offers Moments and packs with four levels of rarity: Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Legendary. LaLiga North America, a project of Relevant Sports and the Spanish league, set up the first time that Dapper and LaLiga worked together.
