Messi signs an agreement with Socios.com’s fan token creator For $20M

Real Madrid v Paris Saint-Germain: Round Of Sixteen Leg Two - UEFA Champions League

Socios.com said today that it has reached an arrangement with the world’s most recognized footballer, Lionel Messi. Messi has agreed to become the first global ambassador for Socios.com, signing a three-year deal for more than $20 million.

During the World Cup, Lionel Messi will feature in advertisements for Socios.com.
One of Lionel Messi’s first parts will be in a Socios.com advertisement for the 2017 World Cup in Qatar. Indeed, a footballer widely regarded as one of the greatest of all time would be a tough figure to find to head such a campaign.

Socios.com, for those who are unaware, is a blockchain platform based on the Chiliz protocol. Socios.com, in essence, works with big sports teams to create “fan tokens.” Socios.com’s Fan Tokens give fans a voice in how their favorite teams make decisions. Furthermore, these tokens provide fans with access to a number of VIP privileges.

Prior to this historic agreement with Lionel Messi, Socios.com had a number of significant ties with international soccer clubs, NBA teams, and other sports organizations. Another notable connection is Socios.com’s designation as the official partner of the 2021 Ballon D’Or. In actuality, Lionel Messi won the award, earning him a seven-time world champion.

“Fans deserve to be recognized for their support. They deserve opportunities to influence the teams they love.” He followed up by saying, I’m proud to join Socios.com’s mission to create a more connected and rewarding future for fans around the world.” he stated.
