The digital greenhouse offers a high-definition, real-time rendering of thousands of vibrant flowers, trees, and other flora, and is accessible via a variety of devices.
The Heterosis project enables users to collect breedable, dynamic NFTs of digital flowers, all of which are housed in a metaverse rendition of the National Gallery in London.
Web3 enables users to reconstruct their digital identities and investigate new avenues for creative expression and individuality. This is especially true as NFTs become increasingly dynamic and customizable.
Enter the metaverse greenhouse
On March 8, Heterosis, a new initiative by Snark.art and OG.Art, debuted a collection of dynamic NFT flowers that holders can breed and customize.
After the first mint of the NFT flower, users are able to “breed” flowers to create hybrid species by browsing the larger catalog of available flowers. According to the project’s announcement, when a new flower trait is discovered, it expands throughout the entire population, just as natural selection does.
Flower collectors who wish to their NFT blossom must pay a small fee to the owner of the flower they wish to breed with, thereby establishing two virtual flower markets: one for selling uncommon digital flowers and another for selling DNA traits.
In addition, the NFT garden’s flowers will be contained in a “metaverse greenhouse” developed by El-Gabal and modeled after a dystopian version of the National Gallery in London.
Real-time audio and video renderings in the cloud make it possible to get to the greenhouse from a computer browser, a mobile phone, or a virtual reality set.
Mat Collishaw and Danil Krivoruchko are the creators of the collection. Collishaw stated that he wished to create a form of art that was unavailable outside of the metaverse.
Krivoruchko stated that creating art for an NFT project that has the potential to evolve with various characteristics was the most difficult digital art collection he had ever created.
Heterosis is a big step forward for digital art and NFTs because it has an immersive environment and interactive features.
