MMA mobile fighting game with NFTs is set to come out in 2024

MMA mobile fighting game with NFTs is set to come out in 2024

One Championship, a Singaporean mixed martial arts brand, has partnered with Notre Game, a division of Animoca Brands, to develop a mobile strategy fighting game with NFTs.

The game, called One Fight Arena, is set for release in early 2024, with player testing beginning later this year.

In One Fight Arena, athletes in the game will be represented as NFTs, providing verifiable authenticity and character rarity statistics to owners.

The game will also be available as a free-to-play mobile game for those who do not wish to pay tokens. One Fight Arena will feature a roster of fighters from the One brand and emphasize first-person strategic gameplay.

Hua Fung Teh, One Championship co-founder, and Group President, believes the game will offer MMA fans a unique experience, even though few details have been released about the game.

“We’re thrilled to work with an industry leader in Animoca Brands to launch One Fight Arena, our first Web3-enhanced video game,” Teh said in a statement. “This partnership will give us the opportunity to engage with our global fanbase at a deeper level.”

Siu, CEO of Animoca Brands, also expressed excitement about the partnership, saying it would allow fans of the world’s largest martial arts organization to access a new gaming experience with true digital ownership at its core.

According to a recent DappRadar report, the Asia region is becoming increasingly important for Web3 game development and is predicted to control 80% of the market in the future.
