NBA Top Shot is one of the industry’s most prominent NFT initiatives. Fans can’t get enough of the amazing NFTs, particularly with the Moments package showcasing basketball’s greatest and most meaningful moments. On Saturday, they announced many important changes to the project.
Significant Changes Have Been Made to the NBA Top Shot NFT Project
NBA Top Shot designer Roham Gharegozlou classified the changes into five categories: scarcity, rarity packs, roadmap, community incentives, and ecosystem. Several of the most notable are as follows:
To begin, they declared each of their Base Set’s 60,000+ Circulating Count Moments to be a Limited Edition Moment. Additionally, no more than 30,000 Common moments will be minted during the season.
Guaranteed rarity packages will be reintroduced. NBA Top Shot players will now know if they will get a Common, Rare, or Legendary bundle. They have said, however, that obtaining them would be difficult.
Collector Score holders will be first in line for a unique Topshot pack that will be released this week. At the finale of the series, ultra-rare and legendary drops will occur.
Additionally, they gave a few suggestions for their roadmap. Users will soon be able to bid and customize their marketplace accounts. Additionally, there will be “challenges” where fans may permanently lock certain Moments. In exchange, they will get very limited incentives.
NBA legends will begin participating in Discord AMAs with fans this week. Additionally, they’ll be giving out NBA league passes and hosting three Access Unlocked events in the future.
Although the NBA Top Shot NFT effort has seen multiple difficulties, it is now exhibiting a long-term vision for its developing community.
