Drop Highlights: DaBunny Island

The project presented playful lore and backstory for the NFT collection. The origin of the DaBunny tribe is a one-in-a-billion, singular coincidence on earth throughout evolution. For generations, life couldn’t be more boring for a tribe of Lilac Rabbits that inhabited the Easter Island of Chile. These bunnies spent their lifetime at the factory miserable, starved, and deprived. All they did was mass-produce artificial eggs for a festival celebrated in the post-industrialized human society.

Then, it all changed when a tribe member found an idled Antminer S19 crypto mining machine in the remnants of an abandoned factory. It soon occurred to a bunny that he could get “ETH” from the machine. Meanwhile, another bunny realized that “ETH,” can trade more carrots with humans than chocolate eggs. It soon occurred to yet another bunny that carrots are too bland for his taste and he ordered a pizza with “ETH” for the first time.

The “Aha!” moments continued to cascade and one day, a tribe member decided to take funny portraits of everyone on the island for fun and sell them online as NFTs – and this gave rise to the DaBunny NFT collection!
