BAYC and MAYC can now create their NFT avatars thanks to Nifty Tailor. Furthermore, Smart Token Labs has created technology that enables BAYC and MAYC holders to customise the look of their Ape derivative. They may then develop their own derivative NFT. As a consequence, this is the first collection of fully confirmed on-chain BAYC and MAYC variants.
Only Bored Ape and Mutant Ape Yacht Club members may get 2500 mint passes for Nifty Tailor’s genesis collection mint. Holders may also buy up to 50 mint passes per wallet, with a limit of 10 mint passes per Ape. As a consequence, holders may mint one NFT derivative for each mint pass bought. After minting a derivative, the mint pass is then destroyed. Nifty Tailor and Smart Token Labs have named this “The Suit-Up Event.”
The Suit-Up Event is free with gas, while Mint passes are 0.069 ETH with gas. Another thing to keep in mind is that mint passes are unrelated to the Ape who granted them. To put it another way, Ape owners may buy additional mint passes on the secondary market if they so want.
The Ape holder who participates in The Suit-Up Event, regardless of who acquired the mint pass first, is ultimately in charge of deciding what the Ape derivative NFT will look like. On that premise, a group of digital artists designed the clothing just for the Nifty Tailor line. In fact, 20% of the proceeds from the sale of mint passes will go directly to the artists.
It’s also worth mentioning that, although Nifty Tailor’s genesis collection is now only accessible to BAYC and MAYC holders, the platform plans to extend to more NFT pfp collections in the future. To be sure, the cooperation with Smart Token Labs marks a considerable step forward over Nifty Labs’ prior platform, which provided a less refined version of this derivative mechanism.
