People can buy the first digital shoes from Nike and Rtfkt. During a live stream on Discord and Twitter on Friday, Nike’s digital fashion and 3D production company showed off a new line of co-branded digital shoes. Nike Cryptokicks are sneakers that are based on the Nike Dunk and show the company’s long-awaited move into the world of digital clothing.

The shoes are only available to people who have Rtfkt’s Mnlth, a digital box NFT that was sent to everyone who had a Clone-X in February. There was a project called “Clone-X” that started in November, and it was made by Takashi Murakami and Rtfkt. People can sell or keep their Mnlth NFTs. It has been given to the people who stuck with it. They can now burn their existing Mnlths in exchange for an Mnlth with a Cryptokick.

The company will start with eight Rtfkt-designed evolutionary “skins” that let people change the look and design of their sneakers, like a video game skill tree. The evolution mode hasn’t been turned on yet, says co-founder Benoit Pagotto, who worked in luxury fashion. Rtfkt wants to make it easier for developers and partners to make their own skins. Murakami made one of the skins for the launch of the game.
