In 2022, Nike marked 40 years of the Air Force 1 sneaker. Even though the sneaker’s 40th anniversary will be over by the end of the year, the celebrations don’t seem to be over yet, as the Bruce Kilgore-designed icon is at the center of The Our Force 1 Collection is SWOOSH’s most recent Web 3 project.
The Our Force 1 collection has been in development since late 2022, when Nike held a bracket-style tournament to determine the finest colorways of the previous four decades.

Early in 2023, the brand also introduced the “Your Force 1” contest, whose winners would receive not only a $5,000 cash reward but also a digital AF1 and royalties on future sales of their design.
Nike is gearing up for the highly anticipated release of the Our Force 1, with much of the groundwork now complete. The release will reportedly consist of seven steps. Although a specific date has not been revealed, the brand has provided a comprehensive overview of the process through their social media channels. Selected .SWOOSH members will have the First Access to purchase as OF1 posters are distributed randomly.
Members of SWOOSH will be able to obtain their very own OF1 box, which may be kept sealed or unsealed to reveal its contents. After the reveal, one will be able to view a gallery of all OF1 virtual creations and acquire and trade them as desired. Each OF1 will provide its proprietor with special access to products, experiences, and other benefits.
Nike has announced that beginning on April 18, it will begin airdropping “posters” to designated individuals.Users of Swoosh will have early access to the sale on May 8. The.Swoosh community will be able to purchase digital products through its marketplace beginning on May 10.
