User-verified NFT profile images are now available on the popular adult subscription platform OnlyFans.
According to the UK-based company, Twitter and Reddit have both experimented with incorporating digital tokens into their platforms. The platform will only accept NFTs that have been minted on the Ethereum blockchain, and it will display an Ethereum icon on the profile images of NFTs to indicate that they are genuine and legal. According to Reuters, which broke the storey first, the business said that it began using NFT profile images in December of last year.
Profile photographs that are an NFT are shown on Twitter in a hexagonal shape with rounded sides in order to separate them from a standard profile image. Aside from that, they are accompanied with an indicator showing that the NFT has been authorised and that the person who controls that account is also the official owner of the digital asset being shown on the screen.
OnlyFans, which was created in 2016, has quickly gained popularity as a means for content producers to monetize their content by selling it to members.
