On Thursday, Animoca Brands, a digital entertainment company, unveiled its plans for a brand-new members-only club in Los Angeles.
Club 3 is being introduced by the Planet Hollywood Group and Meta Hollywood, a joint venture, as Club 3.
Both Hollywood and cryptocurrency have their elite clubs. In April 2021, Yuga Labs unveiled the wildly well-liked Bored Ape Yacht Club, which would eventually become the most exclusive club in cryptocurrency.
The new NFT club in Los Angeles wants to build on this achievement and eliminate the distinction between physical and virtual memberships.
In 2014, the Hong Kong-based software company and venture capital firm Animoca Brands was established. In the previous year, Animoca acquired Grease Monkey Games, Darewise Entertainment, and Eden Games. One of the most well-known virtual platforms that makes up the developing metaverse, The Sandbox, was created by Pixowl, which was acquired by Animoca Brands in 2018.
As the focal point of CLUB 3, ClubID, a brand-new identification, membership, and commerce platform that will support Meta Hollywood’s communities, will debut in beta in 2023.
The benefits of membership, according to the new Meta Hollywood company, will include access to facilities based on membership type, such as a private community chat where users can virtually engage.
Collectors will be able to join the organization on one of four membership tiers—Founder, Social, Global, or Corporate—by receiving a Club 3 NFT.
The one-time membership fees for Social Membership and Founder Membership are $2,500 and $7,500, respectively.
Without providing any other information on its location, Meta Hollywood indicates that the first Club 3 venue will open on Sunset Boulevard later this year. The establishment claims that Club 3 will have a restaurant, bars, cocktail lounge, meeting rooms, and karaoke rooms for real-world and online events.
If Club 3 is a success, Meta Hollywood intends to open locations in New York, Miami, Tokyo, London, Paris, and Hong Kong.
