PopCom has announced that their first NFT sale will take place at NFT.NYC, a meeting of Web3 industry leaders from across the world. The retail technology business collaborated with Christopher “Knxtti” Green, a New York citizen, to create a one-of-a-kind set of NFTs honoring noteworthy New Yorkers. Cartoons of Biggie, Whoppi Goldberg, Mike Tyson, Jay-Z, and Donald Trump, to mention a few, may be found in the ‘The NYCers’ collection. The collector will get one of ten limited edition NFTs for $500, which will include a high-resolution physical print of the NYers collection as well as a QR code that will generate a digital NFT. You will have access to extra special perks after making a purchase.
PopCom will bring a local artist to the PopShop for the first time, allowing the artist to offer both IRL and digital art on the blockchain using NFTs. “Artists now have more methods to monetise their work than ever before,” said Dawn Dickson, CEO of PopCom. “NFTs are all the rage, and we are now taking it a step further.” “PopCom allows artists to concurrently promote their work in the real and virtual worlds without the need of galleries or auctions. Artists may now use automated vending machines to conduct peer-to-peer sales.” If PopCom’s vending technology is implemented, this experience might be totally automated and contactless.
The “NFT drop” idea was influenced by the “sneaker drop,” a cultural phenomenon in which fans compete for a limited number of shoes from their favorite designer. “This is a sneaker release for artists,” Knxtti, the NFTers line’s artist, remarked. “Artists on the NFT aren’t accustomed to customers buying their work in person… Because everything is digital and fragmented, my collaboration with PopCom fills the void.”
This is PopCom’s initial NFT release. The company intends to use the PopShop to promote a variety of NFT releases, allowing local artists to sell NFTs in various places around the country. The artworks will be offered for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the week of NFT.NYC, beginning on June 20 at 12 p.m. est. On June 20, the PopCom and Disrupt.Art teams will also make a special announcement about the development of a number of new collaborations.

KNXTTI (pronounced Nah-Tee) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work uses pop culture references to examine the inconsistencies of human experience, the movement of man from physical to digital entities, and societal criticism. His most well-known works are skeleton paintings, which depict individuals without skin.
Knxtti began selling non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in February 2021 to authenticate ownership of his artwork on the Ethereum network. As a result of his success with his own projects, he became a dealer for other artists who were having trouble getting their work noticed. Knxtti has been credited by Kid EIght and Deecosey as a big factor to their digital success.
