PROOF OF PEOPLE – VericalCRYPTO ART presents London’s first NFT event powered by Tezos (Updated 7 July 2022)

VerticalCrypto Art is excited to announce that “Proof of People,” London’s first immersive three-day festival of art, fashion, and music from the perspective of metaverse culture and NFT-backed technology, will take place at the famous London venue Fabric from July 6 to 8.

“Proof of People” is a curator’s investigation into the sovereignty of the individual in the creative process. “Over the course of the three-day festival, people will be able to see how their unique actions affect the work of world-famous artists like Kevin Abosch, Mario Klingemann, Sofia Crespo, world-famous DJ Richie Hawtin, and many others,” said Micol Ap, Founder & CEO, VerticalCrypto Art.

“Proof of People” will take place July 6–8 at Fabric London. It is the next step in Simon Denny’s curatorial career, which began with the now-legendary “Proof of Work” group show at Berlin’s Schinkel Pavillon in 2018, the “Proof of Stake” project at Kunstverein Hamburg in 2021, and the “Proof of Art” show at Francisco Carolinum in Linz, Austria, in 2021.

“The blockchain has made a new way for a person’s experience to be saved and remembered in a single, powerful, non-transferable instant.” “Proof of People” tries to show the vital and important role that each person plays in art and culture. People are what give art and culture their value and meaning. Without people, art and culture mean nothing. – Micol Ap, the founder and CEO of VerticalCrypto Art

Proof of People is an NFT event that will feature more than 50 artists from around the world, live music performances, a digital fashion store, and multisensory experiences based on the energy-efficient Tezos blockchain. VerticalCrypto Art will also have panel discussions with well-known people in art, fashion, and technology, as well as workshops all weekend long. fx(hash), a well-known generative art platform, will hold a hackathon during the three-day festival. The focus of the hackathon will be on improving and adding new features to Tezos-based NFT apps. The hackathon will start on July 6 and end on July 8.

Projects and performances during the 3 days festival

Richie Hawtin and his connected company Pixelynx will put together a music night on Thursday, July 7, with a DJ set by Richie Hawtin that will be unlike any other.

A one-of-a-kind live minting audio-visual show where people can save their favorite parts of the performance as NFTs on the Tezos blockchain to remember them forever. Soon, a full list of the guest musicians and visual artists will be made public.

TheVERSEVERSE will have poetry made by AI in two connected interactive installations: “VERSES BY VERSA,” an AI-driven live-minting performance, and “THE LISTENING ROOM,” a screen-free space for thinking about poetry. The pieces show how different poetry can be on the blockchain, look at how new technologies are helping language artists in many different fields, and welcome new readers into the metaverse.

“Life in a Box,” an augmented reality (AR) project by Cadie Desbiens, will look at the closeness of the badly housed through a series of virtual sculptures that explore the housing situation of the home, the coffin, and the van.

The ‘NEONZ’ AR filter will be used to show the third part of the Sutuverse, which is Sutu’s own metaverse. Combining web3 and augmented reality, it will add any of the 10,000 Neonz as a face filter to the picture of the person standing in front of the display.

A performance art duo called Operator will show the second part of their Privacy Collection, a year-long NFT series based on the immersive piece that won them the Lumen Prize. In this piece, the viewer’s face is used as the starting point for a portrait of an anonymous person.

DRESSX will also have a digital fashion show with an augmented reality try-on room and a capsule collection of gender-fluid items that can be bought as NFTs. A music takeover night will be held by DAO Friends with Benefits. This year at Art Basel, fx(hash) will offer live Generative art minting with art installations from the “Chance Encounters in New Mediums” Tezos exhibition. Gen22 Collection, a generative fashion capsule collection that makes each user’s clothes completely unique, will show how coins are made in real time.

The speeches and panels that have been chosen will include the following events and people:

Alex Estorick leads a conversation with artists Mario Klingemann, Sasha Stiles, Sofia Crespo, Feileacan, and Ross Godwin about artificial intelligence (AI).

What does web3 have to do with changes in music, art, and fashion? Along with Dani Loftus, Chris Reed, Sam J, and Chanel Verdault, Micol Ap is one of the show’s hosts.
