PwC Hong Kong is the initial tax firm to purchase metaverse land in the Sandbox

With the expansion of metaverse, more businesses are entering this world. For the initial time of its kind for the metaverse, Hong Kong-based tax consulting firm PwC is purchasing land in the Sandbox.

In a statement on Thursday, The Sandbox owners Animoca issued a statement affirming the Land investment.

This is a forward-looking approach for a tax company, and PwC is purchasing land early. They are counting on the success of the metaverse in the future. PwC did not specify what plot of land it brought. Moreover, it is not cheap. Old sales have been over $10,000 per piece.

Tax is a great aspect that is rarely presented of cryptocurrencies and NFTs. Though cryptocurrencies and NFTs are stepping into the mainstream, it is yet a very specific market. In addition, most law firms do not provide these services. Actually, many companies do not have a clear understanding of the rules. Later, the metaverse must solve it.

I hope PwC can change that. As more people stepp into the metaverse world in the future, there will be a widespread need for knowledgeable digital asset tax advice. If PwC continues its forward-looking approach, it could become the leading tax company in metaverse.
