Rachel Rossin Minted Her DNA as an NFT

In an NFT world full of apes and kitties, multimedia artist Rachel Rossin minted something entirely different: her DNA. Influenced by organic computing, the self-taught programmer registered her genome into a smart contract through OpenSea.

The artist Rachel Rossin who lives in New York, and joined the crypto community in 2009, released her own DNA sequence as an NFT. Therefore, the sequenced genome is named “Rachel Rossin’s Raw DNA (2021),” and it’s available on OpenSea.

Accordingly, the artist registered her DNA on the blockchain. Even if she admits that the human bodies and technological creations are very different, Rachel Rossin thinks that finally “everything will come together.”

Thus, NFT Artist is an impressive combination of codes. She states that many collectors are concentrating a lot on the financial aspect of NFTs.
