Currently, Buffalo Trace Distillery said that it will sell rare O.F.C. Bourbon whiskey as NFTs on BlockBar. Distilled in 1982, The ultra-rare whiskey is the only vintage-dated bourbon from Buffalo Trace. The Distillery will offer five of these six-liter bottles in a five-day auction on Monday, March 14 on BlockBar. Actually, this is the initial auction and bourbon sale for BlockBar, one of the renowned NFT marketplaces for luxury wines and spirits. The income from the auction will perk five several charities.
“Buffalo Trace Distillery is well-known worldwide and, we are proud to release our initial bourbon on Blockbar.com with five of their most popular bottles,” said Dov Falic, co-founder and CEO of BlockBar. “The collaboration marks our initial live auction, and to mark this milestone, we are pleased to donate the incomes of this drop to back the selected non-profits Buffalo Trace.”
Overall, Buffalo Trace Distillery aims to release 2,022 bottles of the rare Bourbon whiskey in the current year. Of this, five O.F.C. Vintage 1982 will be auctioned on BlockBar at a starting bid of about $25,000 (8.83 ETH). The auction will begin at 10 am Monday, March 14 and continue until 10 am EST on Friday, March 18. BlockBar get payments in both ETH and Fiat.
Incomes from all the final bids will back five charities. These include World Central Kitchen, The James Beard Foundation, Elton John Aids Foundation, The Art of Elysium, and 261 Fearless.
World Central Kitchen is a non-governmental organization which helps offer meals to people affected by natural disasters. Presently, the organization feeds Ukrainian refugees in Poland, Romania and Moldova. However, The James Beard Foundation, is launching an Open for Good campaign to aid independent restaurants experience the crisis.
A world-wide HIV charity, Elton John Aids Foundation, is working to stop new HIV cases, fight stigma, and help those impacted. Furthermore, The Art of Elysium is an artist organization which concentrates on creating social change via art. Finally, 261 Fearless is a global, non-profit organization for women which encourages and empowers women by running.
