Sports Illustrated covers to release as NFT collection

The renowned magazine Sports Illustrated recently introduced its Sports Illustrated Cover NFT series. This series contains some of the most iconic volumes in pop culture.
Sports Illustrated has partnered with the NFT OneOf platform, 3D animation artists Jonathan Winbush, and its mother company Authentic Brands Group to announce the NFT series. Aside from these NFTs, the magazine is immersing itself and investing in the metaverse.

The first collection of NFTs will include NFL legends Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith, and Dick Butkus. Besides the cover, the NFT consists of a redesigned 3D version of these old Sports Illustrated covers as well. The remainder of the series will include outstanding sports figures like Muhammad Ali, Billy Jean King, Wayne Gretzky, Dale Arnhart Jr. and Dick Butkus.

The Sports Magazine, decreasing the obstacles to access for sports fans by making these NFTs available. The reason is that the Sports Illustrated NFTs start at $25. Another important thing is that several covers have a distinct rarity values. This is probably to decide the price of each NFT.
