The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), which owns the world’s most costly collection of NFTs, said on Friday that its Discord server had been hacked and that further servers had been targeted. For the time being, the collection has asked its adherents to abstain from minting Discord tokens.

BAYC reported that a webhook in their system was briefly abused but was promptly found. The NFT collection’s discord server is currently unavailable.

According to blockchain security company Peckshield, a Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFT (#8662) was stolen, according to Etherscan data. The cryptocurrency is now valued at around 21 ETH ($68,900) on OpenSea. According to the data, the token in question had also been sold on the platform in the previous hour.

Separately, Taiwanese singer Jay Chou claimed that his tokens were stolen during a phishing attack. The stolen products included a BAYC, a Mutant Ape Yacht Club, two Doodles, and 169 ETH ($549,000), according to Etherscan statistics.

Given that the two incidents happened within a day of one another and affected separate ETH wallets, it was unclear if they were related.

BAYC is the most valuable NFT collection in terms of overall value, at around 1.2 million ETH ($3.9 billion), which is held by Yuga Labs. The collection saw a boost in popularity with the launch of its own native coin, ApeCoin, in March.

The hack on the Ronin Network depleted the reserves of the popular crypto game Axie Infinity by more than $600 million, making it one of the largest crypto hacks in history.
