With his imaginary continent, Ink Master tattoo artist Jesse Smith is stepping into the metaverse with his new NFT project. In deed, it’s a multi-faceted story project centered around the fictional Carkayous’ continent.
The concept behind Jesse Smith’s carkayous
As stated by the renowned tattoo artist, “Carkayous was born because of the need to create more depth” in his work. Hence, Smith created the Carkayous imaginary continent where all of his inherent characters can exist and communicate with each other.
“I had this idea in my mind for a while,” Jesse Smith said. “But one of the things that ruined it was when I went to Universal Studios.”
As riding the Dr.Seuss roller coaster, he started thinking, “I have to build a world similar to this.”

However, Jesse Smith’s next NFT project is a 10,000-piece PFP drop. Besides, it is placed in Ferchett’s Island, a big island located on southeastern side of Carkayous.
Again, this NFT series will just focus on the purple aerial creatures.
Jesse Smith’s upcoming plans
As stated by this artist, his major goal is to continue making Carkayous. He has also been working on this project for more than a decade.
Smith “ultimately likes to turn it into a video game and cartoon.” In addition, the artist guess’ that Carkayous would appear to be his permanent project.
