The company behind the best-selling NFTs has issued warnings to users that the Instagram account of the Bored Ape Yacht Club has been hacked. According to the team, There is no mint going on today. It looks like BAYC Instagram was hacked. Do not mint anything, click links, or link your wallet to anything.”

On April first through chat servers on messaging platform Discord, hackers “briefly penetrated” Bored Ape Yacht Club’s non-fungible token (NFT) collection, attempting to dupe members into minting fake tokens.

Minting is the process of converting a digital asset into a blockchain-compatible digital file. According to the story, Namecheap, a domain name provider, tweeted that the hackers’ phishing sites had been shut down quickly after users reported them.

The Bored Apes tokens, which combine cryptocurrencies and blockchain with other artistic pursuits, are popular among both regular traders and specialist investors.

On the other hand, it is astonishing how often brands and collections that are as large and well-known as these may be put in danger. Previously, their Discord server had been hacked.
