In an odd and unexpected turn of events, the V1 Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT Team (V1BAYC) is making a remarkable claim. The crew of the project is certain that it is the original BAYC project.
The V1 Bored App NFT Project claims to be the first App NFT collection.
On Twitter and their official website, they publicly claim to be the creators of the app NFT Collection. The V1BAYC team refers to BAYC as V2 in a tweet.
V1 Bored Ape’s team is certain that they are the original Ape project.
V1 Bored Ape’s creators claim to have convincing proof to back up their claims. Several tweets from their account point to a movie with visuals and a production date. According to the film, which predates the Bored Ape Yacht Club, the data was created in late March 2021.
This ‘evidence,’ on the other hand, is flimsy. So far, this doesn’t prove anything because it’s fairly simple to change the dates on photographs. It’ll be interesting to see what additional evidence the V1 Bored Ape team can provide to back up their incredible claim.
The V1 Bored Ape initiative, according to the website, started when an unidentified source acquired the so-called V1 photographs. They further allege that this person is a member of the BAYC squad. According to the long page of material, the V1BAYC NFTs are the apes from the first test generation.
Finally, it’s unclear what will happen with the V1BAYC NFTs, but they’ll need to convince a lot more people if they want to see significant progress. BAYC has one of the greatest NFT collections in the world, and the price will not change overnight as a consequence of these claims. It would be interesting to see whether the V1BAYC can back up their claim with anything other than photo dates, or if they are just another copycat attempt.
