Ukraine airdrop is not live, but scammers lunched tokens

Ukraine airdrop is not live, but scammers lunched tokens (1)

As crypto donations for Ukraine continue, the country has promised an airdrop on March 3 at 6pm. Moreover, many scammers were rushing to launch tokens which appeared to be linked just to Ukrainian wallet addresses.

However, many crypto traders sounded the alarm through Twitter, and warned other users about the scam. At the same time, the crypto community is waiting for the real airdrop, which is planned for later yesterday.
Presently, Ukraine has got 89 thousand donations on its official wallet addresses. On March 2, the country confirmed that an airdrop will take place on March 3, at 6 pm Kyiv time.

Unluckily, however, only a handful of scammers saw an opportunity to deceive donors. Thus, the Peaceful World ($WORLD) token was displayed on Uniswap yesterday. At the beginning, this token seems to be issued by one of Ukraine’s official financial donation addresses.

In this condition, a rapid look into Etherscan logs shows that another wallet address is transferring tokens. When recipients start trading $WORLD, scammers probably get entry to their digital wallets and empty them.

Following this incident, the Ukrainian crypto donors community is presently happily awaiting the real airdrop. The token will perhaps be released on Ukraine’s official Twitter account.
