Versus x Decentraland x Lumiere cooperate on an NFT film

Versus Entertainment has cooperated with Decentraland and Lumiere to develop NFT and metaverse angles for a future NFT movie “Infinite Machine”. Adapted from Camilla Russo’s book of the same name, the film talks about the story of ETH co-founder, Vitalik Buterin. In the start up of its release, the film will release different NFTs, making it the initial NFT-financed film.

Therefore, let us take a closer look into the collaboration between Versus x Decentraland x Lumiere and the NFT movie Infinite Machine.

About Versus x Decentraland x Lumiere collaboration

Versus, Decentraland, and Lumiere have signed a cooperation to bring the NFT movie to life. In the first phase, Versus will produce the film in partnership with director Ridley Scott’s production company, Scott Free.

Thereafter, Lumiere, a Hong Kong-and Singapore-based entertainment specialist, and Decentraland will develop crypto and NFT-based plots. To clarify, Lumière build and combine the experience of the film into Decentraland.

A total budget of this film is $16 million. To that end, it will shortly release the third set of its NFTs in the following months. The film reportedly offers 10,499 exclusive NFTs designed by 36 artists. Some artists are Lucas Riberiro, Marella Gonzalez, and Eduardo Calegari..

As predicted, most of the proceeds from the NFT sales is going to the film’s budget. Parts of the earnings will go to the artists and the Infinite Machine DAO.

About the Infinite Machine NFT film

Shyam Madiraju will write the script and direct the NFT movie, Infinite Machine. The film will also be produced by Scott, Tom Moran, and Vera Meyer of Scott Free and Alejandro Miranda of Versus.

“This is something that can change the way the whole industry develops and promotes its content to its fans and audiences,” Lumiere CEO Patrice Poujol said to Variety.

Infinite Machine is another example of many opportunities which NFTs can provide to different industries, particularly the film industry. In fact, the previous year, Anthony Hopkins released his new film as an NFT. We can definitely look forward to more uses in the future.
