VRF from Chainlink and Metalink partner for authorized NFT community owners

Metalink, a social app for certified NFT community owners, has incorporated Chainlink’s Verifiable Random Function (VRF) technology to ensure complete fairness for those participating in Metalink’s allowlist and NFT award draws. Metalink’s platform customers can now include Chainlink’s VRF into their giveaways without having to create their smart contract.

Metalink’s VRF integration will begin today with a weekly series of freebies from the Deadfellaz NFT collection. During the first week, three winners will get Nike Air Force 1s made by renowned artist Sekure D. This is an example of a customized design.

Metalink incorporates Chainlink’s VRF, aiding in the creation of a new non-volatile memory (NFT) giveaway standard.

Chainlink Verifiable Random Function enables Metalink’s simple, secure, and truly random giveaways for NFT collections, starting with Deadfellaz.

Metalink, a social app for NFT groups, announced today the deployment of the Chainlink Verifiable Random Function (VRF) on Ethereum main net to provide cryptographic randomization for platform giveaways. Metalink users can judge giveaway competitions independently owing to Chainlink VRF, which provides tamper-resistant randomization for smart contract applications. Metalink demonstrates its commitment to its collecting base by enhancing transparency via the use of Chainlink’s industry-leading technology.

“Metalink’s primary objective is to provide our communities with a unique and secure NFT social platform. Our collectors may join prizes with a simple click, and they can rest certain that we are using technology that prioritizes fairness and transparency in deciding winners “Jake Udell, CEO and Founder of Metalink, said. “Chainlink VRF seems to be the obvious solution to the difficulties encountered by NFT projects while conducting raffles. We’ve incorporated Chainlink VRF into Metalink for each collection we provide, allowing teams to quickly acquire verified randomness for running provably random contests.”

This plan builds on Metalink’s Launchpad, which began at the end of last year and has already hosted several high-profile NFT giveaways. Coolman’s Universe, a project by renowned artist Coolman Coffeedan, was launched on Launchpad in late 2021 and has already produced over $50 million in trade volume in less than three months. Chainlink VRF has been integrated into the backend of all Metalink platform giveaways, guaranteeing a better degree of randomness when awarding prizes. Additionally, any collection hosted on Metalink now has access to the frontend features and Launchpad process, which enables collections to perform verifiably random giveaways inside their server communities.

Metalink’s community emphasizes unrestricted access to collections, and Chainlink VRF enables this without the risk of manipulation or preferential treatment. This integration illustrates Metalink’s dedication to security as a platform that hosts some of the most valuable NFT collections—in August 2021, its leading 3,000 collectors accounted for more than 9.12 percent (more than $350MM) of OpenSea’s $3.65B revenue. The new norm of utilizing Chainlink VRF for verifiably fair giveaways will premiere with a giveaway for Deadfellaz collectors. The victors will be able to customize their Air Force Ones using the collection’s NFTs.

“We’re excited that the Metalink team chose to integrate Chainlink VRF for a secure source of randomness as Metalink hosts a large and growing collection of novel NFTs,” said Tomasz Wojewoda, Head of Global Sales at Chainlink Labs. “Chainlink VRF will help ensure that each giveaway conducted on Metalink is both auditable and tamper-proof, bringing enhanced transparency to its community members.”

Chainlink’s decentralized oracle networks allow advanced smart contract use cases on any blockchain by offering tamper-proof inputs, outputs, and calculations. Chainlink VRF creates a random integer and a cryptographic proof by combining unknown-block data with the oracle node’s pre-committed private key. The Metalink smart contract will only accept the random number input if the cryptographic evidence is genuine, and the VRF method is tamper-proof. The low-cost, established randomness of Metalink giveaways makes them immune to the user, node operator, and malicious actor manipulation.

Metalink is giving away Deadfellaz gifts every week to celebrate the Chainlink VRF launch. In the first, Sekure D designed three unique Nike Air Force Ones that have been shown at the National Gallery of Victoria and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Metalink intends to aid the NFT community with a succession of products, starting with this one. Many of the most popular NFT collections, such as Bored Apes and Cryptopunks, utilize Metalink, as do newer collections created through Metalink’s Launchpad. Metalink’s reputation as a reliable player in the ecosystem was reaffirmed last week with the launch of an OpenSea server.

On any blockchain, oracle services are necessary to operate hybrid smart contracts. Thanks to Chainlink oracle networks, smart contracts can connect to any external API and perform secure off-chain computations. DeFi, insurance, gambling, and other vital industries use Chainlink to secure tens of billions of dollars.
