Denim fashion clothing Wrangler is taking its brand to the metaverse, beginning with IRL experience and digital wearables on Decentraland. Apart from being the first offer, the next two-part version is unique as it marks the 75th anniversary of the brand. Wrangler, along with Grammy Award winner Leon Bridges, is ready to perform the metaverse its catwalk.
The initial drop contains 75 NFTs that show the movement of Leon Bridges’ signature dance move. NFT owners will get entry to an online community, an animated NFT and Wrangler branded digital wearable product for use in the Decentraland metaverse. The IRL experience linked with the NFT is a license to a VIP Bridges concert at New York Fashion Week in September of the current year.
Later, the second drop will occur in September. The 1/1 of NFT is a digital copy of Wrangler’s custom denim Jackets and Jeans, mainly made for Leon Bridges. The winning bidder can use it on Decentraland. Plus the digital clothing, the auctioneer will receive a physical copy of the clothing and entry to Bridge’s exclusive content.
Tom Walderon, head of the global brand at Wrangler, described why they decided to reveal a metaverse existence. “Wrangler is a brand which has all the time been motivated by and developed in the Wild West, metaverse is simply our next destination.” He mentioned.
However, other fashion brands, realize the power, potential, and options of dropping digital wearables. Famous American fashion lifestyle brand Ralph Lauren has opened a 24-hour digital store on Robleux. The previous fall, D & G broke the NFT fashion sales record by selling its newest series for 1,885.719, ETH, or about $6 million. Digital fashion brand RTFKT is currently under the shade of Nike.
